About SETH YANKLEWITZ, CSA :

In early 2011, Seth Yanklewitz and his former partner Juel Bestrop began casting on the FOX comedy pilot NEW GIRL, for which they received an Emmy Award nomination in the category of “Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series.”

As the Vice President of Casting at the Fox Broadcasting Company, projects overseen have included Emmy Award-nominated NEW GIRL, as well as LEATHAL WEAPON, X-FILES, WAYWARD PINES, LAST MAN ON EARTH, ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, GREASE LIVE, GOTHAM, THE GRINDER, MINORITY REPORT, LUCIFER and SLEEPY HOLLOW.

A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Yanklewitz originally attended the university to pursue acting, but quickly discovered an interest in casting when he interned at a prestigious commercial casting company. Upon graduation, Yanklewitz landed an assistant position on the East Coast search for Jon Turteltaub’s “The Kid,” during which he introduced then-unknown child actor Spencer Breslin to the producers and Disney casting executives.

After moving to Los Angeles, Yanklewitz spent three years working with Casting Director Bonnie Timmermann. Together they cast large ensembles for dramatic films, including "Pearl Harbor," "Black Hawk Down” and “Spy Game.” Yanklewitz then began his foray into comedy, working on the feature film, “Stuck on You,” for the Farrelly Brothers.

When Yanklewitz met casting director Juel Bestrop, the two formed Juel Bestrop and Seth Yanklewitz Casting. For six years, they cast some of the most successful feature comedies in recent history, including “The Hangover,” “Blades of Glory,” “Four Christmases,” “Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Squeakel” and “Project X,” as well as the critically acclaimed HBO comedy series “Eastbound & Down.” For their work on “The Hangover,” Yanklewitz and Bestrop won the Casting Society of America Award for “Outstanding Casting of a Comedy Feature.”

Seth Yanklewitz previously sat on the National Board for the Casting Society of America.
